This is the cane webbing color you have seen everywhere — the warm honey tan that has become the industry standard for furniture restoration, cabinet inserts, and interior design applications. This rattan weave pattern works with virtually any interior style: mid-century modern, Scandinavian, coastal, bohemian, transitional. Pairs naturally with light oak, maple, pine, whitewashed finishes, and painted cabinetry in any color.
The square radio weave features a clean 1×1 interlaced grid — horizontal and vertical strands crossing at right angles with no diagonals — producing uniform open squares. This cane weave is one of the most versatile and widely used patterns in furniture and interior applications.
All of our cane webbing is handwoven by skilled artisans in Vietnam — not machine-produced — giving each roll its subtle handcrafted character.
Why Is It Called Radio Weave?
The open square lattice gets its nickname from its widespread use in vintage radio cabinet grilles — the open weave allowed sound to pass through while protecting the speaker. Today it remains one of the most versatile patterns for chair restoration, cabinet panels, headboards, and room dividers.
