The ½” open mesh weave has a rounder, more open cell pattern than the square radio weave — each opening is slightly larger and more rounded, giving the material a softer, more decorative quality. This natural cane webbing suits projects where the open pattern itself is a design feature: light fittings, decorative screens, framed panels, and statement furniture pieces where you want the material to breathe visually.

The honey tan color is the industry-standard natural tone — warm, consistent, and universally flattering. Pairs with light oak, maple, pine, whitewashed finishes, and painted cabinetry in any color. Virtually every interior style from mid-century modern to coastal to Scandinavian works beautifully with this cane webbing roll.

All of our cane webbing is handwoven by skilled artisans in Vietnam — not machine-produced — giving each roll its subtle handcrafted character.

How to Order

Enter the number of feet you need as your quantity. Your cane webbing will be cut from a continuous 24″ wide roll. For bulk inquiries contact us before ordering.

Installation Tips

  • Soak in warm water 60 minutes to 3 hours before installation — makes the rattan pliable and reduces cracking
  • Spline-channel method: press dampened webbing into the routed groove, seat the spline, allow to dry under tension
  • Staple/tack method: apply light tension while attaching, allow to dry flat
  • Cut with sharp scissors or a craft knife against a straight edge

Common Uses

  • Chair seat and back restoration (drop-in panels and spline-set caning)
  • Cabinet door and drawer inserts
  • Headboard panelling and bed frame inlays
  • Room dividers and decorative screens
  • Framed wall art and mirror surrounds
  • Pendant lamp shades and light fittings
